Radiohead Announce First Australian Tour in 15 Years With 16 Arena Shows

The British band will return Down Under in May and June 2027 for extended residencies in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, marking their first Australian shows since 2012.

Radiohead are returning to Australia for the first time in 15 years, announcing a mammoth 16-date arena tour for May and June 2027.

The British band will play extended runs in just three Australian cities, beginning with four shows at Perth’s RAC Arena from May 3 before heading to Melbourne for six nights at Rod Laver Arena. The tour will conclude with a six-show Sydney residency at Afterpay Arena, wrapping on June 1.

Presented by Frontier Touring and Chugg Entertainment, the Australian dates follow Radiohead’s return to the stage with a series of European residencies in November and December 2026.

The shows mark the band’s first Australian appearances since 2012 and represent a significant return for a group that has maintained a comparatively low live profile in recent years.

Radiohead’s most recent studio album remains 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool, the ninth record in a catalogue that began with Pablo Honey in 1993 and includes landmark albums The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows and The King of Limbs.

Rather than undertaking a conventional city-to-city national tour, the band is concentrating its Australian return around lengthy arena residencies. Perth will host the opening four performances on May 3, 4, 6 and 7, followed by Melbourne dates on May 13, 14, 16, 17, 19 and 20.

Radiohead will then move to Sydney for shows on May 25, 26, 28, 29 and 31, with the final Australian performance scheduled for June 1.

Access to tickets will be managed through a registration system designed to reduce automated and unauthorised ticket purchases.

Registration opened at 5 p.m. AEST on Sept. 7 and will remain open until 5 p.m. AEST on Thursday, Sept. 10. The promoters say registrations will be treated equally regardless of when they are submitted during the registration window.

The tour will also have an environmental component, with A$2 from every ticket donated to Greenpeace Australia Pacific and the Australian Marine Conservation Society. Radiohead will match the total amount raised with an additional donation.
