Bachman-Turner Overdrive Announce First-Ever Australian Tour

Randy Bachman will bring the Canadian rock veterans’ No Speed Limit Tour to five capital cities in February 2027.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive are finally heading to Australia.

The Canadian rock veterans have announced their first Australian tour, with the No Speed Limit Tour set to visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in February 2027.

Led by founding guitarist and songwriter Randy Bachman, BTO will open the five-date run at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, February 3. Shows at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre and Perth’s Astor Theatre will follow.

The set will draw on a catalogue that includes “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”, “Takin’ Care of Business”, “Let It Ride” and “Roll On Down the Highway”. “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” topped charts around the world after its release in 1974 and remains the band’s signature hit.

Bachman revived Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 2023 before returning to the road for North American tours in 2024 and 2025. The current lineup has also made BTO a family affair, with Bachman joined by his son Tal Bachman on guitar and daughter-in-law KoKo Bachman on drums, alongside bassist Lance Lapointe and guitarist Brent Knudsen.

“BTO has truly become a family band again,” Bachman said. “We sound better than ever. We’re playing all the hits, as well as diving deep into the album cuts, and the response from fans has been incredible. The BTO sound is back!”

Before forming BTO, Bachman found international success with the Guess Who, co-writing and performing on songs including “These Eyes”, “No Time”, “No Sugar Tonight” and “American Woman”. His success grew further with Bachman-Turner Overdrive, whose muscular mix of hard rock and radio-ready hooks made them one of the defining Canadian bands of the 1970s.

Across his career as a guitarist, songwriter, performer and producer, Bachman has sold more than 40 million records and received more than 120 gold and platinum album and singles awards.

Artist pre-sale tickets will be available from 10am local time on Tuesday, September 22. Promoter and venue pre-sales begin at 10am on Wednesday, September 23, before the general sale opens at 10am on Friday, September 25. Tickets will be available through Destroy All Lines.
